I have worked with veterans myself! In my encounter with one young Marine he was suffering with disabling anxiety and an inability to sleep though out the night.  He knew that he had problems from past experiences but for some reason they where now at once surfacing more and more. earlier in his life his coping mechanism was to store it or confront it but this was not working anymore there was no real place to put it and this was causing issues. He had turned to alcohol and other means to delude the issues. This was a real person that had a promising career and all hell had broke lose and he had gone to every means of help possible. Hypnosis was his last resort. So we started sessions for the anxiety and sleeping problems. He was very nervous at first even a bit skeptical the first session. It went well, trust and guild-lines were established we moved on. Sleeping became easy and anxiety went away he became confident, self assured and taught stress management. He is a much different person now then the one that stepped into my office in the beginning. I was privileged to be able to help this person this worthy and proud person of our military. This is what hypnosis is about. Self empowering, and making positive change for ones own well being and the good of others!
